If you are looking at this - you need to know this was only the first wave. The second wave was literally 10 times higher - and hence - took out every thing not attached for the first two stories of the island. To read more about survivors and first hand accounts - see our survivor website:

I dont think people understand that was the first of 3 or 4 waves all getting bigger, it was scary and we were the lucky ones. I still have not watched all the footage i have, it still does my head in. I think this video shows the very start of the first wave but not the devastation or destruction or the size of the rest. To you lot going on about God, get a grip it was mother nature.

Let me just say that I didn't even watch the video. Were any of you who wrote these reviews even there??? Did you experience this horrific event first hand?? Well I did and I can't believe some of the comments people have been writing. Writing about God and him taking part in killing 200,000 people, that is crap. It was one of the worst things I have ever experienced in my life and everyday this haunts me but it had nothing to do with God. I almost died as well as my mother. I don't feel that people should make random comments unless you have some sort of validation to do so.

Patrick Tetrick, I'm glad you were able to use a horrendous disaster video to promote your anti-U.S. views. Up your medication and call us when you've reached reality, you bozo. Bombs causing tectonic plate shifts... are you for real? That's like saying that a fly landing on the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa will cause it to fall.

As for the others, nice to see healthy discussions of science versus religion. I personally don't believe that God had anything to do with the disaster; he wouldn't create a 200,000 death catastrophe just to please himself. As for the view that the Quran predicted this event, that's utterly ridiculous. I agree with the previous view that if this was a punishment of so-called "perverts", then why did the people of Bam, Iran die? They were living a simple life in the desert. How did the Quran justify their deaths, you lunatics?

Rene, I'm extremely pleased that you made it out safely. Hopefully this experience has given you a renewed outlook on life.

What a crock of $%@#! Its a natural thing. As for the assumption as stated that no dogs or cats died in the tsunami. More hogwash. Who comes up with these things. Just like what was printed below that 500 people witnessed Christ being killed and resurrected. Give me there names, addresses and lets cross examine before assuming this to be true. Its time for modern man to come out from under the cover of superstitious nonsense and evolve to the next level of intelligence. All these God promoters will twist there idea of God until it suits there fancy.

"According to the Bible, what are Christ's credentials? He was killed and raised from the dead; the Bible claims this was witnessed by more than 500 people (The Bible, I Corinthians 15). How easy is it for 500 people to agree on anything, unless they witnessed it?" YEAH RIGHT!!!

All this talk of religion but no on grasps some of the little stories written in it. Have you asked yourself why that no dogs, cats or animals destroyed in the tsunami aftermath? What you call god is simply nature, (yes a higher nature) that's my simplified version of it. Have we forgotten our connection to this good earth that we don't listen, we don't hear anymore? There were no animals destroyed simply because they sensed the impending danger that mother earth was about unfurl. How do you think Noah got his people to safety or had the faith to build that ark? But I like the first comment there. . .someone who knows that what we do to the earth eventually effects us all.

The Bush Bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan were like mini quakes on the arabian tectonic plate . Even after the bombs stopped there were earthquakes in Afghanistan. These small shifts have trigged small earthquakes and shifts in tectonic plates that are connected to the indian ocean plate. These small shifts were enough to send us a wonderful gift for Xmas. A full blown Tsunami in the indian ocean. Wow Thank-you Uncle Sam and Uncle Bush for a wonderful Christmas from Hell. Maybe The Canary Islands can send you one next Xmas right into the White house.

GOD ALLOWED TSUNAMI TO HAPPEN ('cos He is in control of everything).. BUT GOD DID NOT CAUSE IT. There's a difference ;) It's like, for example, a judge/jury ALLOW a criminal to go to jail but they didn't CAUSE it.

35. O ye Children of Adam! whenever there come to you apostles from amongst you, rehearsing My signs unto you,- those who are righteous and mend (their lives),- on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.

36. But those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance,- they are companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for ever).

37. Who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah or rejects His Signs? For such, their portion appointed must reach them from the Book (of decrees): until, when our messengers (of death) arrive and take their souls, they say: "Where are the things that ye used to invoke besides Allah." They will reply, "They have left us in the lurch," And they will bear witness against themselves, that they had rejected Allah.

80. We also (sent) Lut: He said to his people: "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?

81. "For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women : ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds."

82. And his people gave no answer but this: they said, "Drive them out of your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"

83. But we saved him and his family, except his wife: she was of those who legged behind.

84. And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): Then see what was the end of those who indulged in sin and crime!

Religion is a system of belief and that is all. The fact is that religions cause more problems and wars than they solve and it is people like VT Guy who feel the need to push their religious views on to everyone that cause these wars.

If you believe God exists then good, but don't try to convince me just because you believe it.

Now, lets review this video.....the first time I played it I didn't have the codec so all I got was the audio....I think that was more frightening than the actual video. Many of these places are totally devastated. Please donate to help these beautiful countries rebuild.

Subject: Wake UP!!
It wasn't God who did this, it was the archangel Satan. No, actually it was George W. Bush, he must be the one responsible. Hold on - no, Satan and Bush are one and the same right? Well think - have you ever seen both of them at the same time? So clearly it was he who visited this horor upon our world. Somehow it will help his rich oil barren buddies I suspect...

Okay, back to reality. God is not responsible for this tragedy, or AIDS, or 9/11, or the holocaust or any other terrible catastrophies throughout history. The truth is, bad things do happen and God's purpose is to be there for all who turn to Him in their times of need. God is also there to inspire us and show those not living in His shadow that there is a way to everlasting peace - peace for the living and peace for the dead for if you seek Him out and learn what His purposes ate for you life on earth, you will find peace from which no human peril can penetrate. This is why so many people find or go back to religeon in times of accute struggle - He is the Light, The Truth, and The Way and he is there for all at all times.

You see a big brown wave coming down on you I guarantee God will be on your mind. Wouldn't it be better to have Him on your mind and get to know Him before you're in that situation? Car spinning out of control on a frozen highway? God will be listening.... Daughter diagnosed with a rare fatal medical condition? He's waiting for you to ask for His help.... He answers every prayer - just not always in the ways we want Him to. Everything that happens, good or bad, God is and will always be there. Why does God allow bad things to happen when he could sneeze and make it go away? Only He knows and we're of too limited experience and understanding what God's purposes are. We are merely asked to follow Him and know that everything works out in the end according to His purposes - purposes we just can't understand.

God will be glorified in the end. Some may villify Him, but when the chips are down, many of those same folks will turn straight to Him and beg for mercy. Can I get an Amen!!?

Subject: Ancient Scripture
It is good that you seek to understand our world through the scriptures; they are powerful, ancient writings, which hold great value for us still today. However, it will take much more than reciting a few lines from 2000-year-old texts to see. You could know the scriptures front to back, and never see; but at least then, you could consider yourself a scholar.

To see, you must be able to quiet the mind, harness the power of intent, and consciously connect with your non-physical self; that part of you which has always been connected to God. If you are ready, your life will progress in a manor conducive to such an awakening. If not, you might even deny the possibility of such a concept, effectively shutting yourself off from it completely.

We are very complex beings, existing in the physical, and non-physical simultaneously. Yet most are unaware of the implications of this, and therefore believe they have no access to knowledge beyond what can be derived through physical observation, study, and reason.

The essence which is you; which became conscious and pinpointed in time by means of a physical body, has always existed... perhaps not as you know yourself today, but existed non-the-less.

Wouldn't you expect that an all-knowing, all-powerful God; a God which created everything in the known universe, would also know every second of your life prior to you even being born? Such a God would not need to destroy bad people with tsunamis, when he could easily deny them manifestation in the first place.

But alas, the world does not work this way. While no reasonable person will lay claim to the unknowable, it is well known that for the purpose of evolving consciousness, this earth peopled. As an evolving life force, we adapt and exert intent upon the Zero Point Field. At the same time, our environment; being a dynamic and ever changing system, exerts force upon us. As the two forces dance this dance of life, consciousness expands.

I d like to underline that not all christians have become blind fanatics that are totally unable to understand their own religion.

Subject: God
Ok, let me just start by saying that I respect the fact that all of you have a right to think and believe anything and everything you what to believe, and I will not try to change that.
I don't think that all the people that died there were "evil" and I am sure that many evil just as many righteous people died in this disaster.
God moves in strange ways, and I think that through this occurrence we can come to see how fragile our lives really are, and that we are only but "borrowing our lives" if you want to put it that way, we are not all going to live forever.
On the other hand about the children being evil or good, reality is that if they did grow up, they would have the free will to choose wether to be righteous or unrighteous; so I don't think we could say they were all going to be saints and didn't deserve to die... God foresees things He knows what is going to happen in the future... we don't... (Just as He knew Jeremiah the Prophet before He formed him in the womb, and before he was born He consecrated him, and appointed him a prophet to the nations. God told him that he was to go where ever HE sent him and he must do all God told him to do and say. (Jeremiah 1:5-8) then He said to him in verse 10 of the New American Standard Bible "See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, To pluck up and to break down, To destroy and to overthrow, To build and to plant."

So here we see the concept of how God can work through people to warn of what is to come in this case it was through Jeremiah- to warn the people of the land what was to come... God can use anyone for this purposes. I'm most certain that someone in that land warned the people one way or another to repent from their works but they did not.
In Jeremiah 1:11-16 it sais: Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. (here we see that the Lord uses His word to command acts and the nature does it, whether human, animal or the natural world- what God speaks is done) And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north. Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land. For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands. (here God is speaking about the people that would invade Judah for they no longer feared the Lord at this time.)
I do not know the specifics of the sins these countries Had, and I say had because most of it is now gone, and Just as God told Jeremiah that he would through down and destroy, He also told him that he would build and plant...
now that those nations have been destroyed... what is God moving in the hearts of the people to do??? Yes, to build, to plant, to edify... God wants to give them all a fresh start, He LOVES ALL the people, and many times He takes them form the earth for their own good, and the good of the people left behind...
it is disasters like these that bring people together, that make people feel LOVE for one another.
May God Bless you greatly, and may He give you wisdom and understanding to see things the way HE sees them. (I'm still praying for GOD to give me this, for I have not acquired to think or see the way He does.)
May God bless you all, and when our time comes, may we be ready to part ad face His righteous Judgment.

Subject: Act of Nature
The Earth is a dynamic environment - ever changing, and shifting. The earthquake in the Indian Ocean, and resulting tsunami, was a Natural Disaster, not an act of God. People have always found themselves victimized by random events brought on by harsh weather, earthly shifts, and volcanic eruptions, all throughout history. And for now at least, as long as we inhabit areas where such an event could occur, which is pretty much anywhere on the planet at any given time, we can expect them to continue.

No, a true act of God would have been for 150,000 men, women, and children to have suddenly dropped dead at the same time... for no apparent reason; or for me to drop dead before finishing this sentence - for what some may consider blasphemy.

The truth is, while we are in the physical, most of us are limited in what we can understand about why bad things happen to good people, especially to children. You can't say that all those precious children who lost their lives in the tsunami, or that will die from disease related to it, were evil; or criminal, or were being punished for the misdeeds of their parents. You could assume that they were collectively paying some Karmic debt, but the only thing you can say for sure is that; regrettably, they were in the path of a deadly tsunami.

We are spiritual beings having physical experiences for the purpose of the evolution of consciousness. And the beauty of it is; it does not matter that some of you will not grasp this concept right away, or even in this life. We are a planetary race, and as we grow, we will become more aware of our intrinsic connectedness to one another, and all things. As the vibratory rate of human consciousness reaches a critical mass, a shift will occur. It is likely at this time, most of us will have the ability to sense when danger is approaching, and these types of catastrophic events will no longer cause such great human loss.

Until that time arrives, instead of condemning those who have suffered from an Act of Nature, try to understand how it is that you were unable to sense it somewhere in your own being, prior to it's occurrence.
